Sam Kweskin

Mr Sam Kweskin was the wartime artist for the 83rd Chemical Mortar Battalion.
Private, "D" and Headquarters Companies. Awarded Croix de Guerre serving with 3rd Chml. Mortar Bn. Army service from February '43 to December ' 45. Joined 83rd September'44; was 83rd combat artist for Muzzleblasts and Rounds Away.
Art Institute of Chicago, BFA; Illustrator; Advertising Agency Art Director; TV cartoonist; Medical Illustrator; Marvel Comics artist '49-'92. Presently doing portrait commissions.
